Garden Club

Club President: Andrea Berndt, 850-8141

Founded in 1965, the Garden Club is a member of the Peninsula Council of Garden Clubs. The goals of the club are to encourage gardening as a fine art, to aid in the protection of our native trees, wild flowers, and birds, and to promote civic beautification.

Membership is limited to thirty active members, and the club meets in member homes on the second Tuesday of each month, September through May. Monthly programs include various subjects ranging from herbs, to the Philadelphia Flower Show, and outings from museums to plantation homes.

If you are a resident of the neighborhood and are interested in joining, please call the club president at the number above, or simply click on her name and you can send a message right from the site.

Yard of the Month

The Garden Club presents its monthly Yard of the Month award from April through October to the to recognize residents who try to improve the look of their property and the neighborhood with careful landscaping and maintenance.  You can see the current winner at this page, as well as learn more about the criteria the Club uses in its evaluations.

Garden Club Calendar of Events

The Garden Club maintains its own calendar of events, separate from the rest of the Elizabeth Lake site (though some of our items will appear on both).  Click here to go to the Garden Club Calendar.
